AGAIN

We have had a great time RV'ing and decided we would up grade our 5th wheel both in years and quality.  Gulf Stream produces good quality but Peterson is in the tops and the Limited Edition, their top unit, had everything we could want.  We have looked at many RV's over the 3 years, but fell in love with this one and bought it in July 2009.
We plan to reunite with some Winter Texans we met over two seasons, at an IL camp on our way to WI this August and then again head south to Texas.  This winter we will move to Ranson Road RV Park, leaving RV 35 Park owners to their own demise.  John & Barb will again hit our place and together head south again.

Wisconsin August 2009

We headed back to Wisconsin early for a two week visit.

Parked along side Randy's house on the north edge of Cedarburg, we had water and 50A - no sewer connect.  We used his 'facilities' a lot and left with a full black tank until we hit our stop over park on the way home.

Our maiden voyage with this rig went reasonably well.  Some problems but they were minor and corrected by the dealer when we got back home.

This second picture was taken to the west as the sun came out the day we left for the trip.  Being on the highest point in the county, we see this sight often in the early hours.  The only thing equal are the evening sun sets.

Attended my first MARINE CORPS BIRTHDAY BALL in Branson, MO on the 10th November 2009.  Had Col Oliver North as our key speaker - outstanding.  On the 12th we teamed up again with the Hendsbee's and headed back south.

This time we stopped for a few days in Shreveport, LA for some gambling and to meet up with Dave and Sue Bates.

TALL PINES RV PARK

We stayed at Arkadelphia RV Park just east of Texarkana the first nite.  Right off the freeway it has basic facilities but clean and functional.

Tall Pines was bigger and nicer.  Maybe 10 minutes off the freeway just west of Shreveport and a short drive back  to the casinos.

The Bates arrived the next day and we had a few fun packed days.  The 3 of us ran together to a little camp ground in    for a quick over nite and then the Bates split out for Arizona and we to Aransas Pass, Texas.

ARANSAS PASS, TX

It was like old home week when we arrived at RANSOM ROAD RV PARK in Aransas Pass.  Friends Buddy and Patsy were already there so they had broken ground with new neighbors so we just seemed to fit right in.  Only some 4/5 years old, the park is in excellent shape with concrete roads and pads, deep enough for long rigs.

While taking in new sites in the area, we looked at some other RV Parks and found one just being constructed, maybe 5 minutes west.  The PALMS RV RESORT featured all concrete, 70' deep pads and nice services.  We stood in the dirt of construction, picked out consecutive pads and signed up.

The PALMS RV PARK

We caravanned with Buddy/Patsy, John/Barb and John/Janet on Dec 31st and pretty much took over the "C" row.  Frank/Nancy and Orla/Carol would join us on 'C' row in February.  These are all folks we met at Rockport 35 the first year there.

The first picture is our rig at Ransom Road and the second is John & I setting up a steps building project for Gene & Lavern.

The 3rd picture is as you drive into the Palms Park.  The second is looking from the back up towards the front.  The last picture is Janet, Little John, Ted and Big John, along side Janet's RV.   Along about February Park activities were well in the planning and started.  Pool was finished and the grand opening was in March.

We stayed until April 5th and headed home.  We all put down deposits for the 2010/11 season.  Park Manager Clara Boyle sent pictures of the expansion project and I will post them as I get time.
